EVENTS FOR EDUCATORS AND PARENTS
Educators and parents will be given the chance to take part in a small range of events –meetings, workshops and discussions- organized by publishing houses and cultural bodies.
FOREIGN WRITERS IN THE CHILDREN’S CORNER
The writers Philippe Lechermeier and Michel Piquemal along with the illustrator Marion Billet from France, Julia Kaergel, a writer and illustrator from Germany, as well as David Cirici from Spain, on the occasion of the publication of their books into Greek, will expect the young readers to come and meet them.
Illustrators’ Exhibition: “Sweets and French Bonbons”
Within the framework of the main thematic tribute La Francophonie, young people and adults will have the chance to enjoy forty works of Greek illustrators, whose main theme will be the French Sweets. Croissants, profiteroles, tarts, macaroons and several other delicacies will be illustrated through the special unique way of every creator!
Exhibition of Greek Illustrators
It is a unique picture of the world of illustration from Greece: 80 Greek and foreign illustrators, who live and work in Greece and abroad, are introduced to children and adults through their words and their pictures. The exhibition is based on the catalogue Illustrators from Greece (ISBN: 978-960-7622-25-9), a publication of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture in cooperation with the Greek publishing houses and associations of children’s and teenagers’ books in the framework of the 14th Thessaloniki International Book Fair.
Reading Corner “My first Books”
In the course of the entire Book Fair, a Reading Corner for readers up to four years old will be in full swing to encourage the young visitors to find their way into the world of books.
Riddles and rhymes
In Pavilion 14, we walk and we stoop in order to trace the mysterious prints and patterns that are scattered all over the place. Where could the answer be? Somewhere in the Children’s Corner maybe!
"Little Prince’s Corner"
Within the framework of the main thematic tribute La Francophonie, one of the two halls hosting the events will take young and adult visitors to the planet and the story of the Little Prince.
